Yolanda Díaz urges to end the "anomaly" that the "anti-democratic blockade" supposes to the renewal of the CGPJ

MADRID, 10 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The second vice president of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, has urged to "correct now" the "anomaly" that supposes the "anti-democratic" blockade in the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), which has been going on for almost four years.

"For almost four years, an exceptional situation has been maintained in the judiciary due to an anti-democratic blockade. The Administration of Justice is essential for our country. This anomaly must be corrected now," Díaz exhorted through a message on Twitter.

All this after the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, has assured today that the main conclusion of today's meeting between the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez and the leader of the opposition, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, is to make a "last attempt " to unlock the renewal of the Judiciary.

For her part, the Minister of Social Rights, Ione Belarra, has demanded that the PP end its "soft blow to democracy" and asks that the CGPJ be renewed "without concessions or conditions" to the popular.

In turn, the purple formation has warned the PSOE this morning that it must guarantee that Podemos, as a "legitimate" member of the Executive, has a "determining" and active role in the negotiation with a view to unblocking this judicial body.

For its part, IU has stressed that the negotiation to unblock the CGPJ is undertaken between all the parties that make up the coalition and, at this point, has trusted that these block contacts within the Executive will be deployed in a "normalized" way. The federal spokesperson for this formation, Sira Rego, explained that there are several colleagues from the confederal space monitoring the situation of the Judiciary.
