The second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, has asked Podemos, after urging her again about the timing for the launch of Sumar, to let her work "discreetly" on the construction of this platform and has stressed that she is holding meetings with the progressive parties , including the purple formation.

This has been transferred to the media after attending Fashion Week Madrid for the presentation of a collection by Hannibal Laguna, questioned regarding the statements of the head of Equality, Irene Montero, who considered her possible candidacy for the general elections , out of respect for his times, that it was necessary to go "quickly" and he even thought that it was already "late".

"When you finish building it and decide if you are going to be a candidate and if you want to also be the candidate for Podemos, we will be there to get to work. We would like it to be as soon as possible. Meanwhile, we have a lot of homework to have everything at hand." point and do our part of the job: that our political space is as strong as possible to go out to win and govern with more force", he said in an interview with Radio Euskadi.

Questioned by these words, Díaz explained that, as "all of Spain" knows, she has maintained an intense work schedule in the Ministry of Labor in recent times, such as the increase in the interprofessional minimum wage (SMI) and, now, she is overturned with the social agents in also carrying out the Scholarship Statute.

Therefore, he has taken advantage of the issue to underline that Sumar is meeting with "all political formations", including Podemos, to the left of the PSOE and that prudence is required for these contacts to take effect.

From Sumar, as they explain from the vice president's environment, contacts are maintained with multiple political formations and without establishing a specific number, they point out that they could reach fifteen political organizations.

In addition, it is not expected that Díaz will communicate his decision regarding the candidacy for the generals in the remainder of February and he maintains the deployment of acts of the listening process, which has intensified since the beginning of the year and that this Saturday takes him to hold a meeting with sectors in defense of public health.

Relations between Díaz and Podemos, according to sources from the confederate space, have improved in recent times after some moments of estrangement and tension, since the purples have urged him on several occasions to negotiate a coalition bilaterally and resolve a dispute as soon as possible. electoral alliance.

In turn, the leader of Podemos, Ione Belarra, asked him to campaign for his space for the 28M elections, an appointment in which Sumar will not participate, as the head of Labor has stressed on several occasions.

In December, Díaz said that his relationship with Podemos was not broken and that Sumar is an "unstoppable" movement and a "real revulsion" for the left, although he stressed that the project still lacks "too many people."
