Cepsa's CEO, Maarten Wetselaar, has joined the Spanish Business Council for Sustainable Development, the representative body of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in Spain.

In addition to Wetselaar, the president of Kyndryl for Spain and Portugal, Luis Roca, has joined the board; the general director of LafargeHolcim Spain, Isidoro Miranda, and the president of Mapfre, Antonio Huertas. Thus, the business council is made up of 44 presidents and CEOs of large companies, including the president of Caixabank, José Ignacio Goirigolzarri; the CEO of Endesa, José Bogas, or the president of Adif, María Luisa Domínguez, among others.

This space, of which the Forética sustainability business organization is the leader, is a business meeting point in which company representatives generate a joint response that raises ambition and promotes action in the face of environmental, social and security challenges. good governance (ESG).

Within the framework of its second executive meeting in February 2022, the Council presented the 'Vision 2050' roadmap. This has the objective of guiding companies in the development of actions that conform the systemic transformations necessary to make it a reality that more than 9,000 million people can live with dignity.
