Podemos has stated that it respects that the vice president, Yolanda Díaz, sets the deadline for the summer to finalize the electoral agreements between Sumar, the platform that promotes, with the parties facing the generals, as he was transferred in a meeting. However, and although it assumes that calendar, the purple party believes that times are "pressing" in this electoral cycle.

This has been transferred by the state co-spokesman of the purple formation, Pablo Fernández, at a press conference this Monday to reactivate, once again, the public petition for Díaz to campaign for the United Podemos candidates for the regional and municipal elections in May, by emphasizing that your support for their headliners is important to their space.

After the vice president indicated last Friday that she had already entered into conversations with the parties to the left of the PSOE regarding the construction of Sumar and about possible alliances, Fernández has confirmed that members of the Podemos Executive have participated in these first contacts "highest level".

The main conclusion, as he has reported, is that Díaz's team has told them that "there is not going to be a definitive negotiation" to finalize electoral agreements for the generals until the summer, as the secretary of Organization of the purples already revealed this Saturday , Lilith Verstrynge.

"It is true that time is pressing but we respect his decision. There is nothing more to add. We respect the times," he said to emphasize that it must also be Díaz who takes the step and communicates his decision on whether to run for the general elections and if "She wants to be a candidate for United We Can".

Asked several times during his appearance about the content of these meetings, the leader of Podemos has declined to give more details and has defended that they will act with "discretion" and "caution" so that these negotiations can advance.

In this way, he has reiterated that the intention of Podemos is to reach an electoral agreement with Sumar and although the "reasonable" thing would be to speed up, his formation will "safeguard" those contacts and the times indicated by the vice president.

Meanwhile, Fernández has indicated that Podemos is now focused on the 28-M elections, which are "crucial" and "transcendental" for his organization and the left as a whole, since its result will partly condition the next general elections.

Therefore, he has reaffirmed that Podemos will be delighted to have the vice president for the campaign of the autonomous communities, something that would be "welcome" by the bases of the parties that make up United We Can.

On Friday Díaz asked the purple formation and the rest of the organizations to let him work "with discretion" in the construction of Sumar and stressed that he is holding meetings with the progressive parties, including Podemos.

"For things to go well, for us to add, we need discretion and I do tell them that we let Sumar work (...) Therefore, if we want to add, let's do it well, with discretion and with love," he stressed.

From Sumar, as they explain from the vice president's environment, contacts are maintained with multiple political formations and without establishing a specific number, they point out that they could reach fifteen political organizations.

In addition, it is not expected that Díaz will communicate his decision regarding the candidacy for the generals in the remainder of the month and he maintains the deployment of acts of the listening process, which has intensified since the beginning of the year and that this Saturday leads him to maintain a meeting with sectors in defense of public health.
