Vox justifies its veto in the Senate to the reform of the Penal Code in that it is "one of the most inadmissible abuses"

MADRID, 19 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The three senators from Vox have presented a veto this Monday -amendment to the entirety- to the reform of the Criminal Code alleging "substantive and formal reasons" because, as they articulate in their letter, "it is one of the most inadmissible abuses of the annals of Spanish parliamentarism".

According to the text of the veto, to which Europa Press has had access, those of Santiago Abascal request the return of the reform of the Penal Code to the Government, charging against the repeal of the crime of sedition and against the amendments that change the majorities of the Constitutional Court and touches the crime of embezzlement.

In relation to the reform of the TC, Vox believes that this "anticipates a perverse situation": "To know that said body validates all the violations of the constitutional order, with serious threats against national unity included, which undoubtedly the socialist and communist members of the Executive, together with their separatist partners, intend to carry out".

They also argue their amendment to the entirety in the 'express' processing of this bill, which will not be in the Senate for even a week. Likewise, they attack the amendments agreed with ERC, with declarations by pro-independence leaders on the demand for a referendum.
