Vox advocates "prohibiting pardons, above all, for political corruption" in the case of the ERE

CADIZ, Aug. 22 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Vox spokesman in the Andalusian Parliament, Manuel Gavira, has been in favor this Monday of "prohibiting pardons, above all, pardons for political corruption", after being asked about the request made by the family of the former president of the Board of Andalusia, José Antonio Griñán, that the Government grant him a partial pardon, an initiative that has the backing of former presidents Felipe González and José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.

In statements to the media, Gavira has maintained that it is "a very bloody issue", for which he has inferred that "we cannot be ambiguous".

Gavira has argued that the request for pardon, while waiting for the Supreme Court to notify the defendants of the sentence because it has only revealed the ruling, is framed in the case of "people who have had a judicial procedure with all the guarantees and there is a judicial resolution, a sentence, which we believe must be executed", so that with these premises he has maintained that "the political cannot put his hands in the judicial" to reiterate, then, the argument that "we are about to prohibit the concession for reasons of political corruption".
