Thus begins a round of appearances that runs until July with the new piece 32

MADRID, 31 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The now retired commissioner José Manuel Villarejo will return to the National High Court this Wednesday to appear as a defendant before the judge investigating his private business for the piece related to the Method 3 detective agency, although he will have to return in the coming days and weeks to testify also for 'King' or the new piece 32 on the alleged espionage of the former Latvian consul in Barcelona.

According to the legal sources consulted by Europa Press, the head of the Central Court of Instruction Number 6, Manuel García Castellón, will hear Villarejo tomorrow for piece 27, where the role that the commissioner could play in the records that occurred in February is investigated 2013 at the Method 3 headquarters in Barcelona and Madrid.

The owner of the detective agency, Francisco Marco, denounced that Villarejo would have fabricated evidence to promote the records in Method 3 and take advantage of them to steal sensitive information that was kept in both offices.

A day later, the retired police officer will go to this judicial headquarters again to be questioned in relation to the main piece, also known as 'King', in which the Villarejo business group, CENYT, is investigated as a criminal organization in line with some jobs he would have done in Equatorial Guinea.

On Thursday, businessman Francisco Menéndez and David Rodríguez Vidal, who identifies himself as a former collaborator of the CNI and the National Police, will also appear. From them came the complaint that unleashed the 'Villarejo case', as has been proven in the 'Tándem' trial held at the National High Court.

The commissioner has a third appointment in the same court for June 10 for piece 28, where García Castellón tries to clarify if Villarejo offered the highest bidder the information he had in his possession while he was in provisional prison.

This new batch of statements will close on July 6, with the first appearances for piece 32, which was opened this month to investigate the alleged espionage of the former Latvian consul in Barcelona and president of the Pro Seleccions Platform. Catalans Xavier Vinyals.

Villarejo will have to attend these appearances as a defendant while the trial continues for the pieces 'Iron', 'Land' and 'Pintor', the first of 'Tándem' to reach the oral hearing, in which he faces 109 years of jail.
