MADRID, 10 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The deputy spokesman for United We Can in Congress, Enrique Santiago, has assured that they work in coordination with the PSOE in everything related to the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and demands that the PP demonstrate with facts that it wants to unblock the renewal of this organism, instead of "stirring the partridge".

And proof of this, as the IU leader also explained to Europa Press, is that the conservative members in the governing body of the judges now appoint the two magistrates of the Constitutional Court, thus ceasing to break the law.

Santiago has lamented that the renewal of the CGPJ corresponds to the parliamentary groups in Congress and regrets that, after almost four years, the replacement of members is still stuck. Something that holds the PP responsible, whom he has appreciated today in an attitude of wanting to "continue stretching the gum" without a clear commitment to unblock and without specifying "anything" after the meeting between the chief executive, Pedro Sánchez, and the PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, resignation of the institution's president, Carlos Lesmes.

Of course, within the framework of the coalition, the IU leader has highlighted that he himself works in coordination with the PSOE in the face of the negotiation, so here the two partners of the Executive act as a block with fluid dialogue and with the involvement of the federal space. "We are in contact with the different parliamentary groups," he emphasized.

A few words that the head of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, has endorsed, has explained that he has had a conversation with the second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, to explain the content of the contacts with the PP and to be coordinated in the negotiation.

In this way, both leaders have shown calm before the warning from Podemos, which this morning has demanded that the PSOE be decisive and active in the negotiation, accusing the PP of wanting to exclude them with a view to trying a "bipartisan" agreement.

On the other hand, Santiago has reproached the PP for showing "good will" to renew the CGPJ "is not going to a meeting or having good words", but demanding that the conservative members of the CGPJ who are "alarmingly functional" and act as a bloc in favor of the interests of the popular appoint the magistrates of the TC, which should have already been done on September 13.

And it is that Santiago has warned that the recent reform of the Judicial Power is being contravened and a recomposition of the court of guarantees that has been pending since July is delayed. "Actively and passively they have said that they do not like this law and are in clear rebellion," the IU parliamentarian added, referring to the conservative sector of the CGPJ.

On the other hand, the deputy spokesman for the confederal group has criticized that the leader of the PP seems to "keep dizzying the partridge" and that it does not generate credibility, given that the position of the PP has been clear during these almost four years of trying to control the Judiciary not being in the Government.

He has also argued that the popular demand to change the election system of the CGPJ is an "excuse of poor payer" because when they have had an absolute majority "they did not touch anything." And to the PP he has launched that in a democracy the "minority" cannot impose a rule on the majority but must comply with the current legislation to negotiate the renewal of the constitutional bodies.
