Uber, Acciona, Moovit, Telpark, Smou and Free2Move are the most used mobility applications in Spain in the categories of taxis, motorcycles, public transport, parking, micromobility and cars, respectively.
According to the latest observatory 'Urban Mobility 2022', developed by Smartme Analytics, in the field of taxi and VTC Uber stands out, with a 54.7% market share, followed by Cabify (51%) and Bolt (24%).
In this sector, the report has detected a change in consumer habits, since before these applications were used to request a service instantly, but now more and more users prefer to book a journey from home and then get into the vehicle.
Specifically, in Free Now planning has increased by 4.6 points compared to last year, thus being the preferred method by 44.6% of consumers who use the service in Spain; the same occurs in Uber, which grew its travel reservations by 1.1 points (41.3%). In the case of Cabify, the trend is the opposite, since current trips predominate, with this section increasing by more than 9 points (67.4%) compared to the previous year.
In the rest of the areas, Acciona predominates in the shared motorcycle market, with 36.7%, above eCooltra, with 34.2%, with 83.1% of users booking the service in advance for later use.
Regarding carsharing, Free2Move goes from being the fifth with the best share in 2021 to being the first in 2022, monopolizing 34.7% of the use, followed by Zity (27.8%), Go To (26.4%) and WiBLE (19.4%). In micromobility, Smou stands out (39.2%), Bird and Voi, both with 15.2%.
In public transport planning, the most used is Moovit, with a 24.9% share, followed by the Madrid Metro Bus Cercanías app (12.4%) and Interurbanos (9.4%). The Metro (5.5%) and EMT (5.3%) apps close the 'top 5'.
Regarding car park reservations, Telpark predominates in the market with 42.8%, followed by ElParking (35.9%) and EasyPark (15.1%). However, ElParking has been the application that has monopolized the most time of use, reaching 2.56 minutes of average use per session.
