The Spanish Association of the Civil Guard asks for "less expenses in parades and more investment in material"

MADRID, 12 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Spanish Association of the Civil Guard (AEGC) has demanded from the Ministry of the Interior and the general director, on the day of the patron saint of the Benemérita, "less expenses in parades and more investment in material" for the Public Security Corps.

The Association has asked through a statement to put the safety of the men and women of the Benemérita by providing them with individual vests, to the parades and celebrations that are being held these days.

"Above everything is to guarantee our security to the maximum and then, if there is enough for a party, then go ahead," the Association reiterated.

AEGC has affirmed that it is "aware" that the civil guards have the recognition of Spanish society, but they insist: "Society knows that for this service it needs its agents to be well equipped, the parades do not protect them."
