The remuneration of the distribution of natural gas in Spain will amount to 1,307 million in 2023

The Official State Bulletin (BOE) has published this issue of the resolution of the National Commission of Markets and Competence (CNMC) of the 19th of May in which the remuneration to companies for transport, regasification and distribution of natural gas.

In the natural gas distribution section, the total remuneration will be set at 1,307 million euros, with the Nedgia delegation in Catalonia receiving the highest payment, with 356 million euros, followed by the Madrid office, with 134 .78 million euros.

As for regasification, the document breaks down different concepts, including remuneration for investment, which for the gas year 2023 (from October 2022 to September 2023) amounts to 127.74 million euros.

In terms of operation and maintenance, the remuneration will be 145.01 million euros, for adjustments for productivity and efficiency, a total of 82.83 million euros will be paid, for installations in a special administrative situation, 24.94 million euros will be paid and approves the maximum amount of investment achievable in 2023 for capitalized operating expenses (COPEX) at 59.79 million euros.

Regarding the transport activity, the item dedicated to remunerating the investment amounts to 290.73 million euros, while the operation and maintenance will be set at 222.99 million euros.

Also within the gas transportation area, the remuneration for productivity and efficiency is set at 185.94 million euros, while the COPEX for 2023 will be 41.27 million euros.

In the document published in the BOE this Wednesday, the adjustments to the amounts of the remuneration for the gas year 2021 and 2022 are also approved.
