The reform of the 'only yes is yes' law begins its path in Congress with the support of PSOE and PP and the rejection of Podemos

The Plenary of Congress has approved the consideration of the PSOE proposal to reform the Law of 'only yes is yes' after obtaining the support of the PP, Citizens, the PNV and the PDeCAT, as well as the abstention of Vox .

United We Can, including Vice President Yolanda Díaz and the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, has voted against the initiative of their government partner, as have other investiture allies such as ERC and EH Bildu.

Specifically, the admission to process of the socialist reform has obtained the support of 231 deputies from the PSOE, PP, Ciudadanos, PNV, PDeCAT, CC, Navarra Suma, Foro Asturias and the PRC, while another 58 have abstained: those of Vox and those of Junts, Más Pais-Equo and Compromís.

56 deputies from Unidas Podemos, Esquerra (ERC), Bildu, the BNG, the CUP and former Ciudadanos deputy Pablo Cambronero have positioned themselves against the reform.

Once taken into consideration, the bill will be sent to the committee and a period will be opened for the parliamentary groups to present full amendments, which will require the presentation of an alternative text, and the articles.
