The PSOE, on the PP's accusation of "institutional assault" by Indra: "The thief believes that everyone is of his condition"

He denies that the Government also wants to control the CIS and the INE as they point out from 'Génova'

MADRID, 28 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The PSOE spokesman in the Congress of Deputies, Héctor Gómez, rejected on Tuesday the accusations launched by the PP against the Government for what they describe as "institutional assault" on Indra, after the latest movements in the board of directors of the technology company: "The thief thinks that everyone is of his condition," he has replied.

In an appearance before the media after the meeting of the Board of Spokespersons in the Lower House, Gómez has described the latest statements of the PP as "irresponsible" and has considered them "an aggression" by the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to the institutions.

Thus, he has accused Feijóo of making "balances" between his attempt to project moderation and his "constant attacks" on public institutions. In this way, he has rejected the accusations made by the PP because they have no "foundation".

This same Tuesday Feijóo assured that his formation is "concerned" by the "use of State institutions" by the Executive of Pedro Sánchez and has underlined that there is a "concerted action" to take a position in Indra and other State bodies. To his understanding, "something is moving" in that strategic company.

The day before, the PP's Deputy Secretary for Institutions, Esteban González Pons, denounced Sánchez's "institutional assault" on Indra and the National Institute of Statistics (INE), whose president has just resigned after losing the Andalusian elections.

On his side, the socialist spokesman has described these statements as "alarming" and an "unprecedented" aggression against public bodies by the PP. In this way, he has denied that the Government intends to control "the INE" nor the Center for Sociological Research (CIS), while praising the professionals who "ensure" the proper functioning of public agencies. "I have to disprove it", he transferred it.

In this regard, Héctor Gómez wanted to make it clear that all electoral processes have "a guarantee system" through the tables and the electoral counts. In addition, regarding the change at the head of the INE, he has indicated that it has taken place "freely" and for reasons "of a personal nature".

On the other hand, he praised the measures of the new anti-crisis decree approved by the Government last Saturday and which will last until the end of the year. Thus, he has denied that there is any link between the new measures and "any electoral result" as the PP has slipped.

Finally, when asked about the statements by the Chief Executive, who stated that the Government is uncomfortable for certain economic powers, and specifically what these powers are, the Socialist spokesman indicated that he is referring to "big companies" that can take advantage of the current "extreme" situation to achieve higher profits.

Thus, he has agreed that the Executive can be uncomfortable because the measures it takes prioritize all Spaniards, "as opposed to a business fabric that can understand that it is an opportunity to earn more in extreme situations," he pointed out.
