Questions witnesses of the 'Neymar 2 case' for their "direct participation" in the transfer to Barça

The private accusation of the 'Neymar 2 case' considers that the trial has left "perfect evidence" that the alleged crimes of fraud and corruption between individuals were committed in the transfer of the player from Santos FC to FC Barcelona in 2013.

This was said during the process of final reports by the lawyer of the Federation of Associations of Professional Athletes of Brazil (Faap), which is part of the procedure as the recipient of 0.8% of the federal rights of the striker and who is a private accusation together with the Dis investment fund, owner of 40% of the player's rights.

For the athletes' federation, the Blaugrana club "has bribed under the table with the payment of 10 million and the promise of another 40 million euros" to Neymar, said the lawyer in reference to the transfer bonus that the club agreed with the player in 2011.

The representatives of the two private accusations in the case have agreed to question the statements of several witnesses in the trial and have even stated that some "have lied."

The Dis group's lawyer, Elíseo Martínez, has criticized that "the people who have come to testify are not really witnesses, they are all people who have personally participated in the events and that if they have not been charged it is because they said they were following instructions", and for this reason he considers that his testimonials cannot be taken into account.

The trial will be seen for sentencing this Monday afternoon and now the case is supported only by the particular accusations, since on Friday the prosecutor withdrew all the accusations from the case, considering that there were no indications to maintain them.

The Dis group asks for former Barça president Sandro Rosell a sentence of seven years in prison, two and a half years for Neymar and four and a half years for his father.

For former president Josep Maria Bartomeu, he demands a sentence of four and a half years in prison and they demand two years in prison for the former director of Santos Odilio Rodrigues.
