MADRID, 10 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The price of used housing for sale rose 0.3% in May compared to April and 3.5% year-on-year, reaching 1,801 euros per square meter, according to data from the real estate portal www.hogaria.net.

In the report corresponding to the fifth month of the year, the real estate portal highlights that the price of used housing continues to strengthen the upward trend, as indicated in March, although it continues well below the CPI, being "unlikely" that reaches those levels since "access to buying a home is becoming more complicated because the purchasing power is getting worse due to the increase in the CPI and because wages are not improving".

Thus, he expects the price of housing to continue to rise in the coming months, taking into account that the pace of sales continues to be good, although he does not believe that the number of last year will be reached.

The Balearic Islands (3,405 euros per square meter), Barcelona (3,196 euros) and Guipúzcoa (3,067 euros) are the provinces where it is more expensive to buy a second-hand home, followed by Vizcaya (3,057 euros) and Madrid (3,026 euros).

On the contrary, Ciudad Real (1,146 euros), León (1,165 euros), Palencia (1,179 euros), Badajoz (1,238 euros) and Ourense (1,269 euros) are the provinces where the price per square meter is cheaper.
