"To get some PGE, not everything is worth it," proclaims Pons, who believes that the pact with Bildu and ERC is beginning to be something "structural, not temporary"

MADRID, 23 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Institutional Deputy Secretary of the PP, Esteban González Pons, assured this Tuesday that Bildu is an "undesirable companion" with whom a Democrat should "never" sit down to negotiate anything that has to do with the Civil Guard, the National Police or the Army. In his understanding, he "is not worth everything" to carry out a General State Budget.

"Many times it is not what is being negotiated but with whom it is being negotiated", González Pons proclaimed, when asked about the transfer of the Traffic power that the Government of José María Aznar once made to Catalonia, after the Executive of Pedro Sánchez has agreed to transfer the jurisdiction of Traffic to Navarra before March 31.

In this sense, he stressed that "if there is someone with whom you should never negotiate anything that has to do with the National Police, the Civil Guard or the Army, it is with Bildu". "It is a problem of democratic entrails," he asserted in an interview on TVE, which has been collected by Europa Press.

Thus, González Pons has insisted that "the problem with agreements is sometimes not what is agreed but with whom it is agreed". "The last attacks that I remember against the Civil Guard were produced by Bildu's friends in Navarra and that party has not yet condemned those attacks by Alsasua nor has it condemned the crimes of ETA nor has it helped to solve the crimes of ETA", he added. .

In this sense, he has affirmed that Bildu is "a political party with which a democrat should not sit down to negotiate anything", since it is an "undesirable partner of the government", something that, according to what he has said, Pedro Sánchez himself thought ago some years.

"Pedro Sánchez's problem is that he has turned the pact of those who want evil for Spain into his usual form of government, he no longer does it out of necessity, he begins to do it out of conviction," he asserted. Thus, he has insisted that this relationship with Bildu and ERC begins to seem "not something conjunctural but structural", "not the result of necessity but of an ideology", something that makes it "incompatible" to reach agreements with a party like the pp.

González Pons has criticized that Sánchez hand over to ERC the reform of the crime of sedition, allowing Bildu the "symbolic triumph of having been the ones who have managed to get the Civil Guard to leave the roads of Navarra." "What does not make sense is to remove the PGE at all costs", he has assured, to add that to approve the public accounts "not everything is valid".

According to González Pons, the "problem is that this government has entered a drift in which anything goes to achieve its political objectives" and its parliamentary partners are "delighted" to have an "so weak" Executive. In his opinion, the PSOE in this legislature is counting on those parties that want Spain to "divide" and that "cannot be good for Spain."

When asked if he believes that in the end there will be a reform of the crime of embezzlement, González Pons has indicated that the one who "commands" in the Government of Spain is ERC, who is the one who "imposes his conditions on Sánchez". In addition, he has undermined the credibility of that party and the government beginning to back down. "I have experienced firsthand how they write one thing and then do another," he emphasized, alluding to the negotiation to renew the Judiciary.

The PP MEP has highlighted that in "no EU country" would a PGE ever be changed for decriminalizing an attempted coup or for ceding the competence of the Civil Guard in Traffic to a group that in the past was supporting the murder of guards civilians".

After the European Commission has given the go-ahead to these Budgets, González Pons has assured that he has done so but "with some caveats" and has indicated that there is a warning about the price of fuel and interest rates. "At the moment the EU has told him about the paper that this phase can pass but it is concerned and in the same document it speaks of close supervision," he added.

González Pons has indicated that the PP is a party with a vocation for understanding because they are a "constructive center" party, but he has said that it is "very difficult" to get along with a government that "negotiates with ERC, Bildu and the heirs of Puigdemont". , who "do not want good for Spain".
