The PP of CLM, Extremadura and Aragón intensify their offensive against sedition to "wear out" Page, Vara and Lambán

Seven months after the regional elections, the 'popular' will "tighten" with this issue because it "harms" the socialists of those territories

MADRID, 6 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The PP of Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, Aragón and La Rioja are focused on bolstering their offensive for the reform of the crime of sedition that the Government of Pedro Sánchez is preparing to "please" the independentistas, aware that this matter "wears away "to the socialist regional governments led by Emiliano García-Page, Guillermo Fernández-Vara, Javier Lambán and Concha Andreu, respectively.

The national leadership of the PP has given instructions to take motions to the regional parliaments and town councils so that the PSOE of each territory says if it agrees with "making the crime of sedition cheaper in Spain" to favor the "coup plotters" who They broke the law in 2017.

In 'Génova' they are aware that this initiative harms socialist veterans such as Page, Vara and Lambán above all, and it is in those territories where the 'popular' do not want to miss the "golden opportunity" that this issue opens up to less than seven months for the regional elections in May, according to "popular" territorial sources consulted by Europa Press.

Although Alberto Núñez Feijóo returns to focus on the economy, with proposals such as a tax deduction for two years for the purchase of a primary residence to alleviate the rise in mortgages, the 'popular' do not want to lose sight of the "vein" that He opens this topic to "portray" those socialist 'barons', who on other occasions have maintained critical positions with Pedro Sánchez for his agreements with the independentistas.

In recent weeks, several socialist presidents have distanced themselves from Sánchez to a greater or lesser extent with proposals to lower taxes. Thus, Page announced a reduction in income tax for income below 30,000 euros; Vara announced a drop in rates and public prices in his region; and Lambán has also advanced a reduction in the regional section of personal income tax for income of up to 50,000 euros.

Now, the PP in those autonomies wants that same unchecking to occur with the sedition and that is why they finalize the motions and parliamentary questions that they will take to the plenary sessions of their communities to try to expose the socialist barons and their party.

Last Friday, one day after the PP issued a statement suspending the negotiations to renew the Judiciary for the crime of sedition, the PP of Castilla-La Mancha requested a general debate in the plenary session of the Cortes to achieve a joint position of PP and PSOE against the modification of the Penal Code to lower the penalties for this crime.

Despite the rejection of this proposal by the socialists --who have an absolute majority--, the PP of C-LM is going to insist on this issue and seek its reformulation to take it back to the Courts, according to pointed out to Europa Press regional PP sources.

"If the penalties for the crimes of rebellion and sedition are lowered, not only are those who have committed crimes and who are on the run from justice benefiting, but also those who are announcing that they want to continue committing crimes to continue breaking our country to do so," said the president of the PP in Castilla-La Mancha, Paco Núñez, a few days ago.

The Extremaduran PP will follow the same steps, understanding that the Criminal Code is not agreed upon with those who commit crimes and that this attitude "must provoke the rejection of those who claim to defend Spain." For this reason, the president of the party in this region, María Guardiola, advanced a few days ago that she will take this reform of the Penal Code to the Assembly of Extremadura to reduce the penalties for sedition.

"Vara and Sánchez think about power, and Feijóo and I think about the government," said Guardiola this week, who accused the government of "marketing" with those who do not want to comply with the law so that "they have tailored laws." In his opinion, Sánchez's PSOE only listens to those who want to "break" Spain.

From La Rioja, the general secretary of the PP in this region, Alfonso Domínguez, has already announced that they will present different proposals in the Parliament of La Rioja to hear the opinion of the regional president, Concha Andreu, on the reduction of sedition penalties that Sanchez proposes.

According to Domínguez, it is an "amnesty" for the politicians who wanted to "break Spain and its coexistence", and they make this decision in the face of "the maximum seriousness" of these events, which are "a new humiliation for the rule of law and for the immense majority of Spaniards.

Also the PP of Aragon will force this debate in the regional Parliament. In fact, the party of this region led by Jorge Azcón will present a resolution proposal in the General Policy Debate on the state of the Autonomous Community that started this Thursday.

Sources from the Aragonese PP consulted by Europa Press have indicated that his party's proposal will be put to a vote in the Aragonese Parliament next week, something that will reveal the position of Lambán and the socialist group.
