The PP denies that Ayuso rejects that the most voted list govern and says that his second round option is in this line

MADRID, 24 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The general secretary of the Popular Party, Cuca Gamarra, has assured this Tuesday that she has not heard the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, say that she does not share the party's proposal to govern the list with the most votes in the city councils and He has pointed out that the approach of the Madrilenian to carry out a second round is in this line.

Díaz Ayuso acknowledged yesterday - when Núñez Feijóo presented his institutional quality plan - that he does not see "bad" that the most voted list does not govern, sliding that it could be studied, for example, to carry out a second round.

"I have not heard that from Isabel Díaz Ayuso, that she does not share it," said the general secretary in an interview on TVE, collected by Europa Press, in which she emphasized that "it is an approach that the president has made of the party and which, moreover, is shared in the PP".

Specifically, regarding looking for options such as the one proposed by the Madrid president, he pointed out that right now they are talking about a proposal in "general terms." Of course, she has highlighted that this idea of the second round "goes in the direction of the most voted list."

Regarding whether Feijóo's plan is restricted to municipalities, Gamarra explained that it is a commitment in a broad sense that begins with the city councils, but that "it has the vocation of proposing that the most voted list be the one who governs in the different institutions" .

"We are at a time when the Spanish are concerned about the institutional deterioration into which Pedro Sánchez has introduced us with those governments in which minorities and, in this case, not only minorities, but also those who do not believe in Spain and wants to break it are the ones in charge," he added immediately.

Given this, Gamarra has indicated, they are proposing this initiative that seeks for the list with the most votes to be the one who governs in that way, "which seems the correct one," he added. "I understand that Sánchez does not like it because he knows that he is going to lose the next general elections and he only thinks of strengthening all his partners and allies to the maximum to join them," he emphasized.

Asked about whether in the event that the scenario of the previous elections is repeated in Madrid -- Cs and PP pact -- Almeida would have to take a step back, Gamarra has clarified that it is an approach that must start from an agreement of matches and that implies that "sometimes it can benefit you and other times it can apparently harm you". "But they are rules of the game that Spanish society finds sensible and supports them," she has settled.
