The PP celebrates the expansion of its voter base in the polls and attributes it to the fact that Feijóo is "transversal"

The deputy secretary of Economy of the PP, Juan Bravo, welcomed this Monday the results that the polls predict for his party in the face of the election year, celebrating that it is expanding its voter base, something similar to what happened in Andalusia. In this way, he has stressed that voters perceive Alberto Núñez Feijóo as "transversal".

Surveys published this Monday predict victories for the PP in the general elections at the end of this 2023 and, according to that of 'El Mundo', more than 600,000 former PSOE voters would trust the 'popular' in the new electoral appointment.

At a press conference from the Genoa headquarters, Bravo stressed that the PP begins the year in a "magnificent situation", in reference to the polls, although he has warned that "the polls are still polls". However, he has echoed the data on the flight of socialist voters and has valued the importance of "expanding the voter base" of the PP, which allowed the 'popular' to seize Andalusia from the socialists in June 2022 .

These are "left-wing" voters who find themselves with a leader who does not want to "confront" and does want to work "jointly", without "polarization". It also seeks to "help the self-employed and businessmen" or allocate "more resources to Health or Education."

In Bravo's opinion, the figure of Feijóo is "transversal", capable of showing a "common project" and with "the ability to unite the will of the majority", in addition to "providing proposals". "People like it, they are convinced" by the "moderation" of the "popular" leader, he has insisted, before requesting elections "now" to evict the president, Pedro Sánchez.

During the press conference, Bravo made reference above all to the government's economic measures and the economic situation in Spain, although he warned that "there are very serious issues" on the table, listing the elimination of the crime of sedition, the reform of embezzlement or the 'Only yes is yes' Law, which has enabled reductions in sentences for sexual offenders since it came into force.
