Bildu calls for structural measures instead of "patches" and challenges the president to say "so far we have come" to the economic powers

MADRID, 13 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The PNV spokesman in Congress, Aitor Esteban, has not yet closed the door to presenting in Congress a complete amendment against the General Budgets that the Government has presented for 2023, since there is still a week to make a decision on the matter, but he has urged President Pedro Sánchez to get "to task" and negotiate support, avoiding useless "clashes" with his partners.

In the plenary session of Congress on measures to deal with the energy crisis and the last European Council, Esteban pointed out that "prudence does not advise" publicly debating the Budgets, and that the Government should avoid "an unnecessary risk of dialectical clashes with those with whom you want to agree.

However, he has pointed out some problems that he sees in the draft budget. On the one hand, he warns that there are measures that are becoming structural based on temporary collection derived from inflation - "Be careful with this," he says--; and on the other, it has complained that the Government is referring to investments that depend on resilience funds and that, therefore, are not debated in Congress, or that new projects have been promised for the end of the year that have not yet been Knows nothing.

"The most effective thing for the polls to smile at you is not to provoke unnecessary debates, but rather that the measures are really effective and reach those who need them and do so soon," he warned. "Perhaps someone will suggest, as a substitute, to face the season 2 of his series, but that television idea, starting with the first season, is rather counterproductive and somewhat histrionic".

Thus, Esteban has insisted that now it is not time to "give rallies" but to start negotiating the approval of the Budgets. "You have one week left and we have that time to see if there is a complete amendment. Let's get down to business", he has riveted.

On her side, the spokeswoman for EH Bildu, Mertxe Aizpurua, has called on Sánchez to stop "patches" and apply structural measures such as a "fiscal reform" that rebalances the balance in favor of the social and working majority and that promotes real estate market intervention.

"As long as a few accumulate wealth impossible to spend in 100 lives, many others will not be able to live with dignity, not even one. Such a system is a failed system," said Aizpurua, while stressing that the increase in the price of energy It is not only attributable to the war in Ukraine, but has its origin in the "mafia practices" developed by the energy companies, which he has asked to put an end to.

Although he has acknowledged that the coalition Executive has already taken "small steps", he has asked him for more and has warned him that the big IBEX "have gone up to his beard" because "they are grown" and continue to believe they are "unpunished" ". That is why, in his opinion, they dare to say that they will try by all means not to pay the new taxes on banks and energy companies

"Don't you think the time has come to tell them we've come this far, that they've crossed an unacceptable line and that it's time to answer for the scam they're committing against the public?" he asked Sánchez.

Lastly, he has criticized the fact that these businessmen, together with the members of the judiciary and the military who celebrated October 12 this Wednesday, represent "the regime of 1978 in all its expression" and has warned that there are "millions of citizens" who They do not recognize themselves in this framework and believe that the time has come to "break with that heritage and lift the mortgages on the workers and the nations of the State" and to advance in a future "with more rights and more freedoms for all."
