The Netherlands is leader of group 4 and Belgium crushes Poland (6-1)

MADRID, 8 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Netherlands team was placed leader of group 4 in League A of the 'Nations League' after getting its second victory this Wednesday at the expense of Wales (1-2), while Belgium made up for the rout conceded against the 'oranje' in their clash with Poland (6-1) on the second day.

At the Cardiff City stadium, the team led by Louis van Gaal offered a high level and achieved three very valuable points that make them the main favorite in their group. The orange team went from less to more and went ahead at 50 minutes through Teun Koopmeiners. A goal that -however- spurred the locals.

The Welsh team, with Gareth Bale starting in the 77th minute, leveled the match in added time thanks to a goal from Rhys Norrington-Davies, but the Netherlands surprised two minutes later, in the 94th minute, with the final 1-2 in boots of Burnley player Wout Weghorst, which gives him the lead.

For its part, Belgium quickly forgot the clear defeat at the hands of the Netherlands in their duel against Poland. Roberto Martínez's team had a feast at the King Baudouin stadium in Brussels, although it was not until the second half when the 'red devils' were unleashed. In fact, Robert Lewandowski opened the account at 28 minutes.

The Belgians -without Courtois due to rest- could not reply on the scoreboard until 42 minutes, but from the second half they let their hair down and confirmed their superiority with assists from Yannick Carrasco and Eden Hazard.

The equalizer was achieved by Axel Witsel and Kevin de Bruyne, Leandro Trossard (2), Leander Dendoncker and Loïs Openda completed the local account. In this way, Belgium is placed second with 3 points, tied with Poland, while the Netherlands leads with full wins and Wales occupies the last position still with zero.
