The lawyers of the young people murdered in Sucre (Colombia) denounce that the Prosecutor's Office omitted information

MADRID, 27 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The lawyers of the three young people murdered in Sucre have affirmed this Friday that the Colombian Prosecutor's Office would have omitted many details that occurred during the murder.

"The prosecutor did not fully describe the torture and the way in which the young people were killed, who received blunt blows to the face, chin, lips, chest, arms, inflicting intense pain with the handcuffs placed on them," they would have said. appointed the magistrates, according to the statements collected by the newspaper 'El Tiempo'.

In this sense, the lawyer Elver Javier Baquero has indicated that the objective of the policemen who detained the young people was to torture them before proceeding to assassinate them.

"This situation cannot go unpunished," added Baquero, who has called for exemplary "at the national level, guaranteeing the punishment and conviction of those involved."

Likewise, the lawyers --and the Colombian Prosecutor's Office-- have asked that the police officers be "sheltered" with an insurance measure in prison.

Preliminary investigations indicated that armed men had repeatedly shot at the victims from a motorcycle. The relatives of the victims found the lifeless bodies of three young people, after a police operation organized for the murder of an agent in the area.

"The agents reached the point where the young people were, who tried to flee, and injured one of them," Indepaz explained in a publication on the social network Twitter. Later, the police officers would have put the young people in a vehicle. "Hours later, the three dead appeared," explains Telesur.

The events occurred on July 25 in the district of Sincelejo. Witnesses have assured that the person responsible for the murders was Colonel Núñez, who along with the rest of the accused tried to pass off the victims as members of a group of hitmen from the Clan del Golfo.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Latin American country announced this week that it had arrested ten of the eleven police officers involved in the murder of the three young people.

"In just 28 days, the Attorney General's Office clarified the murder of three young people," said the Attorney General's Office, which has announced the issuance of a red Interpol circular to achieve the arrest of the agent who remains unaccounted for, the Colonel Benjamín Núñez, who is believed to have fled abroad.

For his part, Núñez has declared that he intends to turn himself in when he has the security conditions. According to Núñez's defense, the colonel has been presenting serious problems with threats and for this reason he asks the Colombian State to guarantee his safety and that of his family once he appears before the competent authority.
