The Ibex 35 traded with a fall of 0.40%, which led the selective to stand at 8,894.8 integers in the middle session, on a day marked by the return to activity on Wall Street and in which the price of the barrel of Brent oil, a reference for Europe, climbed to 124 dollars, after the Twenty-seven have agreed an embargo on Russian oil, although for now it will leave the oil pipeline that supplies Hungary out of the sanctions.

Specifically, the price of a barrel of Brent crude rose by 3.68% compared to yesterday's close, reaching 123.83 dollars, although today it has exceeded the threshold of 124 dollars per barrel.

Likewise, the price of a barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil, a reference for the United States, stood at 118.97 dollars, 3.39% more compared to 115 dollars at the close on Monday.

In this way, the Madrid selective lost the level of 8,900 points, on a day in which it has also been published that the year-on-year inflation rate in the euro zone has stood at 8.1% in May, compared to 7 .4% registered in April and March, which represents the highest increase in prices in the euro region of the entire historical series, according to the advance of the data published by Eurostat.

According to the community statistical office, the rise in prices in the euro zone in the fifth month of 2022 responds to the 39.2% year-on-year rise in the price of energy, which accelerated from 37.5% in April, while that the increase in the price of fresh food in May was 9.1% year-on-year, one tenth less than the previous month.

In this context, the biggest falls were recorded by IAG (-4.28%), Solaria (-3.60%), Amadeus (-2.74%), ArcelorMittal (-1.90%), Fluidra (-1 .99%), Colonial (-1.41%) and Santander (-1.25%), while Repsol (2.09%), Telefónica (1.51%), Acciona (1 .33%), Grifols (1.16%) and PharmaMar (1.41%).

The rest of the European stock markets traded with falls of 0.79% in the case of Frankfurt and 0.97% for Paris, while London posted a rise of 0.25%.

Finally, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0731 'greenbacks', while the Spanish risk premium stood at 107 basis points, with the interest required on the ten-year bond at 2.173%.
