Isabel Rodríguez believes that "Spain is great" for the president of the PP and believes that "he was in the wrong place"

MADRID, 22 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Government spokesperson and Minister of Territorial Policy, Isabel Rodríguez, stated this Monday that it is "clear" that the national leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, was aware of the agreement reached by the PSOE with the previous president of the 'popular' , Pablo Casado, to unlock the renewal of the Judiciary. That said, she has assured that with the new leadership of the PP it is "impossible" to agree on anything.

"It is evident that he knew him, and not because I, the government spokesperson, tell him so, but because his party colleagues are telling him," the Executive spokeswoman said in statements to TVE, collected by Europa Press.

Rodríguez has indicated that Feijóo is putting herself "in evidence" by disregarding, according to her, a pact "signed by her party." In her opinion, nobody understands that "a man who comes to take charge of an organization, and who also presumes to be a good manager --which has been discredited--, does not take on the big issues of the country", she has insisted she.

"With Feijóo it is impossible not even to agree as we already did with Casado. The situation has worsened, unfortunately," said the government spokesperson, who has asked the PP to make a deep reflection, because "Justice is something very important."

The minister spokesperson has pointed out that to be a "statesman" it is essential to "take charge" of the country's great affairs, being "without a doubt" the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), in office since 2018, one of those topics.

"It is not understood that the main opposition party is in unconstitutional noncompliance. It must comply, it is not a voluntary thing," criticized Rodríguez, who believes that from within the PP they should also ask Fejióo to "comply with those who have been the commitments of his party".

The spokeswoman recalled that the now general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, was part of Casado's leadership, so she "could" have informed Feijóo of such an agreement with the socialists.

For Rodríguez, the attitude of the leader of the 'popular' shows that all his promises are an "absolute lie": "It is evident that he knew him. Lies have very short legs and Feijóo has been left short-legged with his responses in recent days".

Regarding Feijóo saying that the Government is going to suffer a crisis when the Chief Executive, Pedro Sánchez, has denied it, the minister has stated that the opposition leader's words reflect "insolvency, immaturity, cynicism and little sense of State" , that "he was in the wrong place" and that "Spain is great for him".
