The Government has communicated to the Senate groups that the next control session, in which a debate between the head of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, and the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will take place again on Wednesday 21 December at 4:00 p.m. That same day, in the morning, the government control session will take place in Congress.

According to what parliamentary sources have informed Europa Press, the Government has decided to move this last control session of the year to Wednesday the 21st, when this type of plenary session with questions and interpellations to the Government is held in the Upper House on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m.

On the occasion of the organization of the Plenary session next week, the Senate Spokespersons Board met again early this Tuesday and it was there that the Government's idea of ​​moving the control session one day was communicated , to Wednesday, December 21, in the absence of ratification by the Board of the Chamber, which will meet this afternoon at the end of the plenary session.

The day before, Tuesday, December 20, the plenary session is scheduled to be held, which will debate and vote on the amendments and the rest of the opinion of the General State Budget (PGE) for 2023, and before that, the Justice Commission will meet to endorse in an 'express' manner the reform of the Penal Code, which has not yet come out of the Congress of Deputies. It will be on Thursday, December 22, when this law to change sedition is addressed in the Senate Plenary.

On Wednesday, December 21, the government control session will also take place in Congress, although this plenary session will begin at 09:00 in the Lower House. That same day, just a few hours later, the Executive of Pedro Sánchez will once again submit to questions and interpellations from the parliamentary groups, in this case in the Senate.

What's more, Sánchez will have to answer a question that day from the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, in addition to two other questions from the democratic group, which includes Ciudadanos, Teruel Existe and the PRC, and from the mixed group, in which there is Vox, PAR and UPN.

From the 'popular' ranks they have described this movement of the Government as an "outrage". As sources from the group have informed Europa Press, the spokesman Javier Maroto has conveyed at the meeting of the Board his disagreement with moving the day and believes that it is something unprecedented to make it coincide with the Plenary Session of Congress.
