The Government insists that it is in the "final phase" to renew the CGPJ "not without difficulties" but moving forward

MADRID, 25 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister of Territorial Policy and Government Spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, has insisted today that the Executive and the PP are in the "final stretch" of the negotiations to renew the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) "not without difficulties" but going forward.

This was explained today during the press conference after the Council of Ministers when asked if the agreement to renew the governing body of the judges was going to be finalized in the coming days.

Isabel Rodríguez did not want to be more explicit in her negotiations, alleging the necessary "prudence" that the Government is exercising so that it will come to fruition. For this reason, she has also refused to make "considerations" when asked about the PP's rejection of Victoria Rosell and her possible repercussions on her relations with United We Can.

The minister has insisted that they are in the "final phase" of that agreement and it is the "most complicated" although they hope that the pact will be consolidated.

He has admitted in this regard that the negotiation is developing "not without difficulty" but at the same time specifying that they are making progress despite the fact that "the most complex issues" are now being addressed.
