The Government hopes that the PP "will drop its face in shame" when explaining to Reynders the blockade of the CGPJ

MADRID, 27 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The government spokeswoman, Isabel Rodríguez, has indicated this Tuesday that she hopes that the PP "will drop its face in shame" when it has to explain to the Justice Commissioner of the European Union, Didier Reynders, the reasons for the blockade of the General Council of the Judicial Power (CGPJ), at the same time that it has once again placed all the responsibility for the delay in the appointment of new members on the main opposition party.

At the press conference after the Council of Ministers held in La Moncloa, he stated that Reynders' visit to Spain - which will take place from tomorrow - is taking place because there is an "anomaly" and the "only cause" is the PP, whom he has accused of having been in breach of the Constitution for almost four years.

"I hope that they will drop their faces in shame when they have to give that explanation to the commissioner", while indicating that he hopes that this situation that should never have happened can be reversed, he pointed out.

Along the same lines, he has indicated that the problem is not in the lack of agreement, but in the fact that the PP refuses to comply with the law, something that in his opinion is "inadmissible" and "damages democracy" and the reputation of the administration of Justice. Finally, he has reiterated that it is the main opposition party that can amend the blockade because it is "the only cause."
