The Government extends its Digital Spain strategy to 2026 and includes technological projects with the communities

MADRID, 5 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Government has extended its Digital Spain strategy until 2026 to promote the digital transformation of the country, which will also have two additional axes: the 11 Perte and a new program called Retech to finance technological projects together with the autonomous communities.

The First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economic Affairs, Nadia Calviño, has indicated that this new program with the communities will be based on the complementary science plans.

The programs to be developed will cover all areas of the digital economy, from cybersecurity and green technology by design to the use of technology in rural areas and the fashion and textile industry.

Calviño has underlined the importance of developing these networks and has called for an act led by the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, next Friday to learn more about the program and the update of the digital strategy.

However, the vice president has taken stock since the pandemic and the publication of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and has emphasized the executive actions in digital infrastructure, where the Single program stands out, digital skills and digitization of the economy with a focus on small and medium businesses.
