The Council of Ministers has authorized this Tuesday the constitution by the State Society of Industrial Participations (SEPI) of the State Society of Microelectronics and Semiconductors with an initial capital of two million euros.
The new state-owned commercial corporation will depend entirely on the subsidiary SEPI Desarrollo Empresarial (Sepides), which has fully subscribed its capital, according to the references of the Council of Ministers consulted by Europa Press.
As the Government spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, explained during the press conference after the Council of Ministers, this company will carry part of the execution of the Perte Chip, announced last week and with an allocation of 12,250 million euros.
The program includes, among other measures, the promotion of the creation of microchip design companies in the country or investment in companies in the sector, two actions similar to those that Sepides usually carries out.
