All of them were approved in the first phase and without commitments, because they did not pose problems for the competition

The National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) approved a total of eight concentration operations between companies in April.

All of them were authorized in the first phase and without commitments, since they did not imply problems for the competition.

The sectors affected by the business operations were the production and distribution of self-propelled aerial work baskets, the funeral services market, the fresh cement and concrete market, the production and supply of zinc oxide, the transportation of goods by rail, maritime transport and the distribution and supply of liquefied gas.

One of the authorized operations concerns the private equity investment firm HIG Capital, which acquired exclusive control of all the securities of France Expansion, a French group that manufactures vehicle-mounted aerial work lifts.

The CNMC also approved the exclusive acquisition of Jordial, a Spanish company that provides funeral services, by Albia, a company in the same sector. Likewise, Albia also took control of Mortuary of Marín, based in Pontevedra.

Another of the authorized concentration operations was that of Servicios y Concesiones Marítimas Ibicencas, which obtained exclusive control of Mediterránea La Naviera de Formentera, a maritime transport company.

Also in the transport sector, in this case rail, the French company SNCF took exclusive control of Takargo, a Portuguese freight transport services company that operates in Spain through Ibercargo.

For its part, Votorantim Cementos obtained in April, authorized by the CNMC, the business lines of aggregates owned by Compañía General de Canteras and concrete and dry mortar owned by Hanson Hispania Hormigones.

Likewise, an operation was authorized for the totality of EverZinc Holdings by Zinc Bidco, a vehicle company, manufacturer and supplier of zinc chemical compounds.

Lastly, Redexis Gas acquired assets from the Cepsa Group, made up of a series of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supply points and facilities belonging to Cepsa and its subsidiary Gasib.
