The Air Force monitors the Chinese launcher that causes the closure of part of Spanish air traffic

MADRID, 4 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Space Surveillance Operations Center (COVE) of the Air and Space Army is monitoring the remains of the Chinese CZ-5B launcher that this Friday has caused the closure of part of Spanish air traffic.

"It is expected that the last orbit before re-entry into the atmosphere will cross the peninsula between 9:50 and 10:05 local time," they have detailed from the Air Force in a message they have shared on Twitter.

Specifically, the circulation of flights in Catalan airspace has been "totally" restricted this Friday morning for 40 minutes due to the passage of this space object.

"Due to the risk associated with the passage of the CZ-5B space object through Spanish airspace, flights have been totally restricted from 9:38 a.m. to 10:18 a.m. in Catalonia and other communities," Civil Protection reported in a tweet from this Friday picked up by Europa Press.
