The 27 ask Brussels for "clear" measures to intervene in the gas market before the next summit in October

PRAGUE, Oct. 7 (from EUROPA PRESS special envoy Laura García Martínez) -

The Heads of State and Government of the European Union have commissioned Brussels this Friday to present "clear and concrete" proposals to intervene in the gas market before the next summit on October 20 and 21, and that go beyond the "vague" ideas that have been explored so far, according to the outgoing Italian Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, at the end of a summit in Prague.

"We must wait until October 19 or 20 for no more words from the president of the Commission (Ursula von der Leyen), not for more vague proposals, but for something clearer, more concrete, and, in part, proposals for regulations" , Draghi explained to the press at the end of the informal summit of EU leaders with which the 27 have tried to unblock the energy reforms that still divide the capitals.

The Italian president has indicated that they have not gone into talking about the "details" of the measures they expect from Brussels and has also recalled that the Czech presidency of the EU plans to "hold as many meetings of energy ministers as necessary" before the next European Council on October 20 and 21 to "reach a concrete proposal".
