Telefónica shareholders have until this Thursday to request to collect the dividend in cash

Telefónica shareholders have until this Thursday, June 9, to contact the company and redeem their generated rights and receive a dividend of 0.148 euros per title.

The operator continues to exceed the milestones of its dividend calendar, which includes June 16 as the cash payment date and June 24 as the estimated date for trading of the new shares generated by the flexible dividend to begin.

Currently, Telefónica's rights are listed on the market at 0.1487, practically in line with the price offered by Telefónica to its shareholders, although during the first bars of the 'scrip' they came to exceed 0.15 euros. The rights can be traded on the market until June 14 and 31 rights will be needed to get one share in the distribution.

Telefónica will have to increase capital by up to 3.2% of the total, equivalent to more than 870 million euros, in the event that all shareholders opt for the shares, although recently, the shareholders who have opted for the remuneration in titles they have touched two thirds.

The final percentage of acceptance will be known on June 16 when Telefónica pays the dividend in cash.
