Spain already exceeds 50 medals and the Warriors, finalists in the JJMM of Oran

The Spanish delegation exceeds 50 medals at the 2022 Mediterranean Games in Oran (Algeria), which will be held until this Wednesday, after a weekend in which they have achieved 21 metals, 6 golds, 6 silvers and 9 bronzes, and the The Spanish women's handball team, the 'Guerreras', have qualified for the final.

The golds were achieved by the archer Leyre Fernández in recurve bow; the tennis player Guiomar Maristany; the judoka Nikoloz Sherazadishvili in less than 100 kilos; the swimmer Lidón Muñoz in the 50 meter styles; the taekwondoka Javier Pérez in less than 68 kilos; and the 3X3 women's basketball team, after beating France 13-11 in the final.

The silvers went to Carlos López, finalist in tennis; the men's 4x200 swimming; the swimmers Africa Zamorano and Juan Francisco Segura in the 200 and 50 backstroke, respectively; the Canarian sailor Joel Rodríguez, in the ILCA 7 class; and the Olympic taekwondo runner-up Adriana Cerezo, in the category of less than 49 kilos.

For his part, the bronzes were won by the judoka Tristani Mosaklishivili in less than 90 kilos; swimmers Álex Castejón and Alba Velázquez in the 200 backstroke and 400 styles, respectively; the athletes Tessy Ebosele, in triple jump, Daniel Rodríguez, in 200 meters and Enrique Llopis, in 110 hurdles; the fencer Iñaki Bravo in saber; the cyclist Sandra Alonso; and the 3X3 men's basketball team, after beating Turkey in extra time.

All these medals, added to the 31 that the Spanish delegation had already achieved, place it in fifth position in the medal table, with 52 metals distributed in 12 gold, 18 silver and 22 bronze.

On the other hand, the 'Guerreras' have won the ticket for the Oran 2022 final, after defeating Portugal 26-24 at the Olympic Complex Sport Hall and will face the winner of the

Serbia-Croatia for gold.

After the break, the defense and the goals of Carmen Campos, with ten, were the key to the triumph of José Ignacio Prades' men against the Portuguese team.
