The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Saturday that the coalition partners will present a bill next week in the Congress of Deputies to prohibit banks and energy companies from transferring the announced new taxes to customers in the State of the Nation Debate.
Sánchez has advanced it during his intervention in the Federal Committee of the PSOE that must ratify the changes in the leadership of the party and the incorporations of the Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero as the new number two and the head of Education, Pilar Alegría , as the new spokesperson for the Executive.
The socialist leader has indicated that they are going to prohibit companies from transferring the costs derived from these taxes to the middle and working class, and has referred to the criticism issued by the right regarding the ineffectiveness of the new taxes and that the companies would pass them on directly to citizens.
