Sergio Lozano guides Barça to its sixth Futsal League

MADRID, 25 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Barça won the sixth Futsal League in its history this Saturday after beating Palma Futsal (2-4) in the second game of the final, played in Son Moix, thanks to an excellent performance by Sergio Lozano, author of a brace and leader of his team participating in three of the four goals.

Jesús Velasco's team did not wait for the third game and resolved the title by winning on another's court. A triumph worked out in an almost perfect season for the Catalans, who have been proclaimed champions of the Spanish Cup, the Super Cup, the Champions League and now the domestic tournament.

A poker game that needed work overalls this Saturday because Palma Futsal left decided to complicate the company for the Blaugrana. At 12 minutes they took advantage with a right hand from Higor after a loss at the start. Antonio Vadillo's men felt comfortable and Chaguinha gave a recital in recoveries. The game was painted green.

However, Barça woke up four minutes later with a spark from Sergio Lozano, very attentive to a rebound after a shot by Marcenio. He gave the feeling that the culé team needed very little to equalize the contest. The duel went crazy and turned into an exchange of blows. In the subsequent play came 2-1.

This time it was Nunes, who took the bike and overtook the 'buffalo' Lozano in speed to beat Didac with a cross kick. Anything could happen and the '9' culé redeemed himself with the second goal of the night. This time it was after a pass from Dyego, who rushed the baseline to find Lozano, who was waiting for the mistake at the far post.

With the tie, the game went to rest, the pieces returned to their place and the order took over the final. Barça was not in an excessive hurry and the Balearic Islands -more overwhelmed- suffered physically in the final minutes. Pito, almost unintentionally, scored the 2-3 in a play by Sergio Lozano. Again, Lozano being decisive.

With 2 minutes and 11 seconds remaining, Palma Futsal opted for the 'goalkeeper-player' and Nunes was close to equalizing. Also Mancuso, who ran into the best Dídac. None could give the islanders the option to continue dreaming. To make matters worse for Vadillo, Dyego sentenced the title to an empty goal with a shot from his field with 12 seconds to go.

The 2-4 was the perfect finishing touch for a Barça that has completed a more than outstanding season, in which only the Copa del Rey has escaped them, signing an outstanding transition after five years of Andreu Plaza on the bench. With this Saturday's title, FC Barcelona becomes the second most successful club in the Spanish First Division, beating ElPozo Murcia (5), but still far behind Inter Movistar (14).
