The Russian Ministry of Finance estimates that high oil and gas prices will account for additional budget revenues amounting to 656.6 billion rubles (9.658 million euros) between May and June.
During the month of May, Russia recorded extraordinary income of 263,700 million rubles (3,879 million euros) in oil and gas sales in relation to the estimated base monthly volume.
Likewise, for the month of June, the Ministry calculates that the extra income from oil and gas will amount to 392,900 million rubles (5,779 million euros).
Due to the temporary suspension of certain provisions of the budget rules related to the use of additional income from oil and gas sales, "the purchase of foreign currency and gold will not be made from the aforementioned funds," the Ministry explained. , according to the Russian agency Interfax.
