Russia assures that the invasion of Ukraine is proceeding "as planned"

MADRID, 10 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Russia's representative to the United Nations, Vasili Nebenzia, stressed on Thursday that Russia's invasion of Ukraine "progresses as planned," he said in an interview on the British network BBC.

"One of the reasons for the so-called slow pace is that we are not targeting civilian infrastructure," Nebenzia said, adding that the Russian Armed Forces "are only hitting military targets and that takes time," as reported by the agency. TASS news.

Likewise, Nebenzia has reiterated that everything "is being developed according to the initially planned military plans."

Thus, he explained that Russia is not doing "a carpet bombing or anything like that. But the progress is there, that's for sure."

"I think it is progressing. No one promised to deliver it in three or seven days. Some experts are now saying: 'the Russian special military operation has stalled and is not progressing at the pace originally planned.' But progress is happening. That is clear." the Russian diplomat stressed.

"Of course, (the operation proceeds) with small tactical changes, because what happens at the front cannot be predicted, but the plan is moving. I do not think that anyone in the Russian leadership has announced the plans to take kyiv and install what is called a puppet government," he has sentenced.
