MADRID, 5 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister of Territorial Policy and Government spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, has lamented the criticism that the head of Equality, Irene Montero, is receiving for her trip to the United States together with three members of her team at the Ministry, considering that it is about an "attack on the government and its feminist agenda".

This is how Isabel Rodríguez spoke during her speech at the summer courses organized by the Association of Parliamentary Journalists (APP) at the Rey Juan Carlos University, where a member of the public asked her opinion about these criticisms of Irene Montero.

"I consider it an attack on the Government, like so many that we receive every day, because it questions how the Minister for Equality and the President of the Government himself move, when he moved just like the previous head of the Executive, Mariano Rajoy", has proclaimed the also government spokesman.

In this sense, he has pointed out that those who are "attacking" Irene Montero's official trip are "those who do not believe in equality and in the feminist agenda" of the Government, referring to the comments of the PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo , about what he went to do "tourism".

"It is an attack on what this Government means and on equality policies for our country," added Isabel Rodríguez, who has also previously commented on Feijóo's criticisms, urging him to explain the pact with Vox in Castilla y León on gender violence.

The minister-spokesperson focused a large part of her speech at this round table, moderated by the journalist from Cadena Ser, Guillermo Lerma, on talking about the communication of the Government's legislative agenda.

Thus, he has proclaimed that "we must govern in terms of social profitability and not electoral profitability", adding that when the time comes to open the polls for general elections, he trusts "in the intelligence of the citizens".

In this context, he has vindicated the legislative action of the Executive of Pedro Sánchez, beyond with whom certain pacts are reached to carry out some laws, and has blamed the fact that the information on certain regulations does not reach all citizens, largely due to the "number" of laws passed.
