Renfe has awarded Acciona Facility Services and Clece the contract to clean trains, locomotives and the company's passenger service facilities, for a combined amount of 242.7 million euros.
Acciona has won the lots corresponding to the South and Madrid, for 53 and 71.7 million euros, respectively, while Clece has won the North and Catalonia, for 46.3 and 71.7 million, respectively, according to informed the company.
Acciona's lot includes the autonomous communities of Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, Andalusia, the Valencian Community and Murcia, as well as the provinces of Ávila, Soria and Guadalajara.
For its part, Clece will deal with the cleaning of trains, locomotives and facilities located in Catalonia, Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country, Navarra, La Rioja, Castilla y León (with the exception of the provinces of Ávila and Soria) and Aragón .
In total, Renfe is going to allocate up to 242.7 million euros over the next three years to carry out the cleaning service for trains and locomotives, as well as service units and passengers in stations, workshops and offices throughout the group. The contracts have a duration of 36 months, with the possibility of exercising up to 12 months of extension.
