Red Eléctrica Group changes its name and is renamed Redeia

The cost will amount to 213,000 euros and its 'ticker' on the stock market will also vary

MADRID, 7 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the Red Eléctrica Group, Beatriz Corredor, announced this Tuesday the name change of the holding company, which is now called Redeia.

In a press conference after the group's shareholders' meeting, Corredor pointed out that the new identity "much better represents" the purpose of the business conglomerate, which includes companies linked to telecommunications (Reintel and Hispasat) and technological innovation (Elewit ).

The cost of the change of identity of the group amounts to 213,000 euros and includes the entire strategy and implementation of the new brand, which will be carried out in parallel with the performance of maintenance and reform works in the different assets of the 'holding' during the next three years.

Corredor has described the total cost of the process as "austere" and has detailed that the new name of the group also implies a change in the 'ticker' with which it operates on the stock market, which until now was REE and which will now become RED.

In this sense, the denomination of the subsidiaries of the group will not see their identity altered.
