PSOE offers Más País to study improvements in places, financing and the price of school canteens

The PSOE offers More Country an agreement, via an amendment to the resolutions of the State of the Nation Debate, to its proposal that the State assume free access to school canteens in Primary. Instead, the majority force of the Executive undertakes to launch a study that analyzes possible improvements in the places, financing and prices of this service, always from the perspective of guaranteeing access to the most vulnerable families.

In this way, the socialist parliamentary group is open to evaluating improvements, in collaboration with the autonomous communities, and also advocates analyzing the quality of the menus offered to schoolchildren and the type of management of the canteens.

Therefore, it replaces the initial approach of the formation of Errejón by another wording, lowering the initial scope to the commitment to prepare a study, together with the regional administrations, to analyze the "canteen coverage, the places offered, budgets, financing, prices and quality" of food.

"The dining room program will be part of the center's educational project and will guarantee a healthy, quality food supply with local products," concludes the amendment to the More Country resolution proposal.

The intention of the party of Errejón is that the State fully assumes the cost of the dining room service in Primary and deploys 1,600 million to guarantee universal access to school menus. All this to improve family reconciliation, increase student performance and combat inequality.
