Podemos reiterates the request for respect and asks Díaz to clarify if he wants to be the candidate

He warns that if they do not get a good result in the May elections it will be difficult to obtain it in general

Podemos has reaffirmed that the formation must be "respected" in the field of progressive forces as a "decisive" party, that its will is to reach a coalition with 'Sumar' and has stressed that the second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, must "decide whether or not she wants to be his candidate.

In this sense, he has outlined that when Díaz finishes organizing his platform, which he defines as his party, they will listen to his proposal with the priority of reaching an electoral alliance. It is then that they understand that Díaz must decide if she is a candidate for the next general election, an aspect about which "they have no information" until now.

This was indicated at a press conference by the state co-spokesperson for the purple formation, Javier Sánchez Serna, who has maintained that the message expressed yesterday by former vice president Pablo Iglesias, at the closing of the 'Autumn Uni' of the formation, did not reference to the also head of Labor and that the context was broader, such as denouncing the attacks from the sewers or sectors of the media.

"When we say that Podemos must be respected, we are not saying anything crazy. I don't know why it is so surprising to say that this political force that has done very important work for the left in 40 years, I don't know if there is someone who thought that there should be no respect it but yes, we say that it must be respected and in the configuration of any progressive space Podemos must be a decisive force", he stressed.

The purple party has insisted in recent months that Díaz is their bet as headliner for the next general elections, although Sánchez Serna has stressed that this decision depends on her.
