Petro presides over his first Council of Ministers in the Casa de Nariño

The recently inaugurated president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, has presided this Monday his first Council of Ministers in the presidential residence, the Casa de Nariño.

At the meeting, Petro discussed with his 17 ministers for now --it remains to be seen who will hold the Science portfolio-- to analyze the current situation in the country, in order to make a general diagnosis and define the priorities of the first hundred days of Government, as reported by the Vice Presidency in a statement.

In addition, the Council of Ministers has addressed the scope that the tax reform announced this Monday may have and that it seeks to raise more than 50,000 million pesos (about 11,400 million euros) in the next four years, has reported ' Week'.

For now, the ministers are Mery Gutiérrez, from the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies; Catalina Velasco Campuzano, Ministry of Housing; Irene Vélez, Ministry of Mines and Energy; Gloria Inés Ramírez, Ministry of Labor; María Isabel Urrutia, Ministry of Sports; Patricia Ariza, Ministry of Culture; Carolina Corcho, Ministry of Health; Cecilia López, Ministry of Agriculture; Susana Muhamad, Ministry of Environment and Vice President Francia Márquez, Ministry of Equality, according to 'El Heraldo'.

And the ministers, Guillermo Reyes, in the Ministry of Transport; Germán Umaña Mendoza, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism; Néstor Iván Osuna Patiño, Ministry of Justice; Alfonso Prada, Ministry of the Interior; Iván Velásquez, Ministry of Defense; Alejandro Gaviria, Ministry of Education; José Antonio Ocampo, Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and Álvaro Leyva, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
