Patxi López admits the participation of PSOE voters in Sánchez's meeting with anonymous citizens

He alleges that the "sociological reality" of Spain makes it logical that among 50 citizens there is a socialist voter

MADRID, 6 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The spokesman for the socialist parliamentary group in the Congress of Deputies, Patxi López, admitted this Tuesday that in the meeting of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, with anonymous citizens there were PSOE voters, because "if you choose 50 citizens who go through the street, there must be yes or yes PSOE voters".

This is how he explained it in an interview with 'Antena 3' collected by Europa Press, in which he indicated that "due to the sociological reality" of Spain it is logical that among the group of fifty citizens collected there would be some voter of the socialist party .

However, the parliamentary spokesman has underlined that the fundamentals of this meeting, which took place last Monday at the Palacio de la Moncloa as the opening of the political course, were the issues discussed. Among them, he has highlighted climate change or childhood obesity.

"It was not about making a criticism, but that those who intervened asked about the concerns that people have today," López added.

Asked why no participating citizen asked about the rise in prices, the socialist parliamentarian criticized that "it is very easy to speak of a vacuum", and recalled that the Government has already adopted measures in this regard.

In addition, he stressed that every time a decision by Pedro Sánchez's Executive is implemented, inflation falls and that if it rises it is "every time there is a crisis with Russia."

In this sense, he has also rejected that Spain is one of the countries with the highest inflation in Europe and has disgraced the Popular Party that uses these "false data". "It is another of Mr. Feijóo's lies," he has sentenced.

Likewise, Patxi López explained that there are "nine countries in Europe" that have higher inflation than Spain and has indicated that, although the Government is not "the star of fighting inflation", they are "fighting" to improve situation.

"The labor market has a movement that it has not had in years," López said about the Executive's actions, while mentioning the increase in affiliations to Social Security, in contributions, and "much more decent" wages " due to the rise in the minimum interprofessional wage.
