OHLA is awarded the Accesos Norte 2 corridor in Colombia with an investment of 315 million euros

A consortium made up of OHLA and the Colombian Termotecnica Coindustrial has been awarded the construction, operation and maintenance of the Accesos Norte 2 corridor in Colombia, which contemplates a duration of 29 years and investments in works worth close to 315 million euros, according to has indicated in a statement.

The construction company has emphasized that this new project reinforces its portfolio of concessions after being awarded the Biobío hospital network in Chile at the end of 2021.

This corridor, which is part of the Bicentennial Concessions program, will be able to benefit close to eight million inhabitants in the area of ​​influence of the project and seeks to improve mobility and decongest the traffic of vehicles that circulate between Bogotá and the connection of the capital with the north of the country.

Among the actions to be carried out, the execution of an exclusive lane for the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system, TrnasMilenio, from Calle 192 to Calle 235, and the construction of 11.6 kilometers of public space, where They include platforms, bike paths and improvement of returns and road intersections that will optimize the mobility of pedestrians. The North Highway project provides for the expansion from three to six lanes, two for mixed vehicles and one for the TransMilenio System.

All this is complemented by the construction of the Perimetral de Sopó, a project that connects the North Highway, at the height of the Aposentos village (near Briceño), with the Perimetral de Oriente 4G project and which involves the improvement of 5, 5 kilometers and the construction of 1.7 kilometers of new track.
