North Korea's registered coronavirus cases are below 94,000 in the last 24 hours

MADRID, 1 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The North Korean health authorities have reported this Wednesday that the number of new cases of coronavirus registered in the country is below 94,000 infections in recent hours, within the framework of the wave of infections that the Asian country is suffering.

More than 93,180 people showed fever symptoms with no deaths recorded, according to data from the North Korean News Agency (KCNA), citing emergency epidemic prevention sources.

The total number of cases since the country's pandemic emergency declaration on May 12 has reached 3.7 million, of which 3.5 million have recovered. The number of fatalities amounts to 70 according to the latest data offered on Tuesday.

These daily estimates are far from the highest peak of cases reached on May 15, when the country confirmed 392,920 cases in one day.
