In the last 24 hours, the North Korean health authorities have registered more than 96,000 cases, thus reaching 3,830,000 positives since the wave began on May 12.
"All regions intensify work to control the spread of the pandemic," the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of North Korea (PTK) reported on Sunday, according to the Korean Central News Agency. KCNA.
North Korea, which has a population of 25 million, also has 165,390 people under medical treatment throughout the country.
On May 15, the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, declared a state of emergency and mobilized troops to try to contain the spread of what the State describes as "fever". Two weeks later, the evolution of the pandemic is positive, since days ago the Asian country reported up to 300,000 cases in just one day.
