New attempt by United We Can and partners of the Government for Congress to investigate "the scandals" of the king emeritus

MADRID, 28 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

United We Can and the bulk of the Government's parliamentary partners have registered a new request for Congress to investigate "the scandals related" to Juan Carlos I and the "involvement of some levels of the State" to control information about them.

Specifically, this new initiative is signed, together with the minority party of the coalition government, ERC, Bildu, Más País, Compromís and also Junts, the PDeCAT and the Galician Nationalist Bloc (BNG).

This new attempt for the Chamber to open investigations into the "alleged illegalities and irregularities committed by members of the Royal House" and "their accomplices" has as a reference the contents of the documentary 'Save the King' produced by HBO, according to the signatories themselves. .

Specifically, they ask to know "the monetary flows referred to in the records of use of the so-called 'black cards'" as well as the "political, diplomatic and diplomatic influences" of members of the Royal Family with Saudi Arabia.

Among the objectives of this parliamentary investigation is also included the knowledge that "the current members of the Royal House" may have of these facts and, especially, King Felipe VI.

And, following the thread of the documentary, the parties that promote the initiative insist this time on the need for Congress to also investigate "the involvement of some levels of the State in the control of information on the scandals related to the king emeritus."

At this point, they refer specifically to the relationship of the current National Intelligence Center (CNI) and its predecessors -CESID and CESED- with "alleged threats and blackmail to ex-lovers of the monarch" and their environment. They also want to know the public resources and tools" aimed at controlling all information related to the former head of state.

Until now, the Table of Congress, with the votes of PSOE, PP and Vox, have rejected all requests of this type that these formations have registered.
