Moreno: "A severe defeat for the PSOE would put the Government of Pedro Sánchez in a difficult situation"

ALMONTE (HUELVA), June 4. (From the special envoy of EUROPA PRESS, Lourdes Pino) -

The PP-A candidate for re-election as president of the Andalusian Government, Juanma Moreno, stated this Saturday that "no one doubts that a severe defeat" of the PSOE-A in the regional elections on June 19 would put in a "difficult situation" to the Government of Pedro Sánchez.

This is how Moreno pronounced himself in an interview on Onda Cero, collected by Europa Press, from the village of El Rocío, where he has traveled as president of the Board to attend the presentation of the brotherhoods.

Moreno has pointed out that, without a doubt, although elections "of and for Andalusia" are going to be held on June 19, what happens will have "resonance and impact on national politics" and has indicated that "nobody has any doubt that a severe defeat" of the PSOE-A "would put the government of Pedro Sánchez in a difficult situation.

He has indicated that the Andalusian PSOE has always been one of the "great granaries of votes" of the PSOE at a national level and has insisted that everything that happens in Andalusia "has an echo and an impact on the rest of Spain."

Juanma Moreno has stressed his goal of achieving a sufficient majority on June 19 to govern alone, because the way to go further and go faster is if time is not wasted in an "absurd and sterile" negotiation with other parties to form government. She has pointed out that, in fact, any of the "potential partners" have no government experience.

Asked if he contemplates a possible government with Vox following the formula of the president of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, he has indicated that this is not in his "plans right now" because what he aspires to is to achieve a sufficient majority that allows him to govern in lonely. In his opinion, it would be a "basic error" for a candidate to say in the campaign that he is going to ally himself with a certain party.

On whether he believes that a scenario of a possible repetition of elections could take place, the PP-A candidate has indicated that this would be a "huge disappointment and a failure in democratic terms."

He has pointed out that a "viable and possible government" must come out of the June 19 elections. "I will do everything possible so that the elections are not repeated," insisted Moreno, who has criticized that the PSOE-A has already "closed the doors" to a possible post-election negotiation.

In any case, Moreno has stated that his goal is to win at least one more seat than all the leftist parties put together. He has said that if he succeeds, he will call all the groups and try "negotiation and dialogue" in order to start governing.
